Hell, does anybody know if there is any firmware update with the 10.1 DVD update or is it just a map update? Also, is there a change log any where? THanks! Patrick
Patrick, I just posted the V10.1 Release Notes to this thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-audio-electronics/76895-upgrading-nav-dvd-my-2006-gen-5-nav.html Happy driving, Chris
Thanks Chris, I've been waiting for this. Based on the updates for Ontario, it doesn't seem very worthwhile; too bad it doesn't mention how many POIs were updated. I guess I can't be too picky...
I'm not sure what they mean by "all cities in Canada now fully navigable". I know the last part.. it means they all have address (vs. just digitized roads but no addresses available)... yet the break-down of province-by-province doesn't seem impressive with B.C. being the most updated (note how they're mostly Lower Mainland updates) and 436km of streets in Nunavut lol... there's no road to Nunavut from the rest of Canada. It's assumed you'll only use it in NU.
I just installed 10.1 in a 2006 Prius. It seems to work fine except that the map is shifted north by about 100ft. I can see marks that I placed before in the wrong place. This is causing the nav to put me on the wrong street and causing directions to go haywire. I have the official disk, but installed it myself. Is there a way to calibrate it?
I just tested and successfuly burned and updated my U91 to U92 10.1 dvd from this place Gen 6 DATA ver.10.1 Navigation from a 2011 Avalon DVD Navigation Map NORTH AMERICA U 92 D Toyota Motor Corporation C 2010 DENSQ Corporation C 2009 NAVTEQ C 2010 Tele Atlas North America, Inc. DVD ROM 86271-73012 464210-1741 DATA ver.10.1 I used the following media to burn this and it works flawlessly: Memorex DVD+R DL The software I used to burn this disk was: ImgBurn And don't forget you have to make sure you change the booktype to DVD-ROM before burning this. :focus:
OK, I'm new here. How do I determine which navigation system I have in my 2004 package 9? How do I know which version DVD to get, assuming I want to buy, not burn, one and if they are even available?
Press INFO-PHONE --> Map Data --> DVD version (or Map version). Just tell the dealership what year your Prius is. They'll get the right disc.
