Got the idea from G3 Spiderman. Sorry newbie can't add URL yet.

    Cost: $22.48 including Shipping
Time: 3 Hours (.5 prep time for Extending Wires)
Skill: Moderate (Removing Bumper and minor cable connection/soldering)
Tools: 10mm Socket, Screw Driver, Soldering Gun, Electrical Tape, Thin wires (I used left over speaker wires).

    Nice to know:
No need to completely remove bumper. It's not as bad as it sounds/looks.
Check LED thoroughly before the assembly. See #2 picture of 2 broken LEDs on passenger side. I don't want to remove bumper again and send in for exchange. I hope iJDMToy.com can send me a new one.

    See photos for illustrated instruction.

Received replacement (only 1) from iJDMToy for the broken passenger side 2 broken LEDs. I was hoping to do different mod project such as blinker for tail light if pair was received.

Hal W, what do you mean by disable?

LED turns on when I turn ON the car and turns Off when I turn off the car since positive wire is connected to Windshield Pump. It is not always/constantly on which requires manual turn off.

In Canada our cars have DRL. The DRL utilize the high beams at about 60% power. I guess in the US your cars don't have this feature? It is probably just a matter of pulling a fuse! Hal

There are a few who have played around with DRLs in the headlight and the outcome is pretty clean.

Here is a picture of usbseawolf2000's headlight retrofit with the LED strip on the inside of the headlight.

Here is the completed project with the projectors installed as well.

    F8L, Thank for your visit.
I've read you posting before. It is an excellent write up (lots of good pictures and excellent instructions).
I didn't have a guts to put my headlights to oven.
Your implement is best I've seen anywhere.

I'm not trying to detract from your mod. I just wanted to show you one version of it in case you get the sudden urge to bake! ;)

Nice! Are the LEDs bright enough though?

    2009Prius,
Not as bright as the Audi factory LEDs, but they are excellent when in dark and pretty good (subjective) with daylight. Can't go wrong with $22 and some DIY sweat. This LED can be used in many different application. By the way, iJDMToy support team responded they will send out a replacement unit (2 LED didn't light up on passenger side).
