I removed one of the cd's out of the dash unit and the nav display screen remains opened and won't close. I tried turning the vehicle off and on, nothing happened, so then I attempted to remove the 2nd cd that was in the changer and it slides out, but immediately slides back in. Thank you.
Too bad my mileage is 54k in about a year's driving. Maybe I'll be able to find a replacement part? Thanks Spiderman.
WOW, 54K. You never know though till you try. If they will not cover it, yes, you will likely be able to find a replacement somewhere like a wrecking yard, or even an aftermarket replacement. Good luck. [edit] - Perhaps others with your options will chime in but is there a reset on the head unit anywhere (see owner's manual). I know I had problems in the past with heads units freaking out and was able to press a reset button (with a pen) and it would function again.
Pull the fuse for the radio, wait a few seconds and put it back. This helped on the RAV4 that had the same problem.
