Selling my 2004 Prius. Very well equipped, with #9 Package (basically, everything but leather). Includes the following features:

    Voice-activated touch-screen Nav
    Radio: JBL AM/FM/CD Changer/Cassette w/9 Spkrs
    Smart Entry
    Security Alarm
    Start Button
    Mirror w/Homelink
    Integrated Bluetooth and phone sync
    HID Healamps w/auto-leveling features
    Floor Mats & Cargo Mat
    Rear Wiper
Driver & Passenger Side Airbags (lots and lots of airbags!)
    Front Fog Lamps
    Vehicle Stability Control

Std features (in case you aren't familiar with the Prius) include PD, PW, ABS, cruise control and lots of leg room.

Asking $12.8K. I'll also include a free CarFax report.

At nearly $1K under KBB, this car is priced to sell. I love this car and hate to part with her. This was our first hybrid, and I'm happy to say we loved it so much, that we bought a 2011 Prius. We have to either part with this car or our Forester, and it just seemed practical to keep the Forester for certain trips. I have a lot of pictures available upon request. Email me if you are interested. I live in Southern California, Long Beach area.

$13k is under KBB for an '04? I thought they were more like $6k.
How many miles on it, any wrecks or repairs.
Not in the market, but folks will want to know...and I do b/c it's what I have ('04 pkg #9, 113k miles)

I don't know what the value for Prii in MO but here in the DC metro $6,000 might get you a Prius 2001 to 2003 but only rarely anything newer. If his Prius has lower mileage rather than over 100k it might worth that price to someone!

I am willing to take offers. I only use KBB as a baseline starting point. 2004 is not even comparable to earlier gens, because they upgraded nearly everything about the car. $6K is not even in the ball park. Anyone trying to make that case is completely misinformed. It would be wise to read up on the Prius, check out KBB, Edmunds or other sources, before making such ridiculous statements.

Your certainly entitled to ask whatever you want, no matter how ridiculous the price. 2004, near me are going for between $7,000-$8500

If you are using KBB or Emunds, you have to put in the current odometer reading to get a value. You have been asked twice to list the mileage, but haven't done so as yet.

Sorry, did not notice that I forgot the mileage in the posting. I copied and pasted parts of it from my AutoTrader ad.

I only see one person that has asked about mileage, and that was posted today. Had someone pointed that out earlier, I would have replied as quickly as possible. If you are interested to know the mileage, why not just ask? Just in case you didn't see my other reply, it has 86K miles.

I noticed that KBB, has dropped the price since I originally listed it on AutoTrader over a month ago, so I am willing to concede that it deserves a price reduction, no matter how painful that sounds to me. I am willing to drop the asking price to $11,900 or accept REASONABLE offers. $10K is not reasonable. If someone else has it listed for less, with similar mileage, then there is no reason to waste time here, go purchase it. This car looks brand new, drives like new, has been maintained on time, no accidents (has CarFax report), fully loaded, received on-time dealer maintenance, and most definitely meets "excellent" conditions by any automotive standard.

I have always sold every one of my cars personally. I am experienced enough to know the tricks and loopholes that people try to use. I am happy to show my car to anyone that wants me to PM them pictures of exterior, interior and under the hood. You are most welcome to come take it for a test drive. :)

If my price is ridiculous, then why do you even bother to post? I welcome you to post the links of any Prius in EXCELLENT condition, with no accidents, equal mileage and fully loaded for the same price. Otherwise, I recommend doing a little research before posting comments like "ridiculous" on someone's ad. :focus:

kbb showed me 11,500. i'm curious because my daughter has my old 04 pkg.9 no leather, with 90,000.
good condition is 10,500., so you should get at least that.

Often (but not always, of course) KBB prints prices well above market value. If a seller really wants to know private sale value I suggest adding about $1000 - 2000 to auction pricing.

Thanks, but I think I found a buyer. He is looking at my car tomorrow and after haggling over price, we actually reached the exact price that Bisco was saying of $11,500. I am not sure why the Prius has recently come down so much in price, but considering my car was just under $30K brand new, and it's current condition nearly the same, I am disappointed to know that it has devalued so much. They used to hold their value much better. Again, I am talking about a fully-equipped, pristine Hybrid. Oh well, such is life in the world of competition I guess!
