Prius 2006 Navigation

    the navigation system always directs me to take every exit off a freeeway. SHould I delete all my "marks" in the system or is there something more I can do? :confused:

    Try deleting all your previous destinations in memory

    It sounds like your Route Preferences is set to not allow Freeways (someone once borrowed my car and deselected Allow Freeways.

    At least in the 2007 Nav (I suspect that the 2006 is the same) on the map screen, press ON. Then press ROUTE and press ROUTE PREFERENCES. There you will see several route conditions that you can select/deselect. Freeways is one of them.

    Change your route preferences to include highway, and make sure you select one of the two quickest routes, not the shortest route. The shortest route will take every take every back road shortcut that saves an inch.
