No actually puddle light is only on during entry of the vehicle... however green lights can be on any time the headlights are on.. I like the add on as it matches my other lights.:D

I was talking about the inside mirror LED indicator being redundant to mirror cover turn signals.

    update from seller:

the dealership sell this folding complete set including 2 stalks + 2 fold motors + 2 mirror glasses + 2 mirror covers unpainted + 2 bulb lamps+ switch and necessary wirings. Dealership not sell it separately. However, this stalk CANNOT fit to your PRIUS.
only 2 fold motors + 2 covers +switch and necessary wiring are competible to your PRIUS.

Besides, you will order our LED mirror cover fit to your PRIUS, therefore, you have all the function you need.

for the other parts not fitting including 2 stalks + 2 mirror glasses + 2 bulbs, I will also send to you but it is confirmed not applicable.

from another explain, you will use your exist PRIUS stalks but not this new stalks. and your expecting to have the stalks in white color is not available.

we don't have such kind of signal mirror. maybe some manufacurer will create in the fuure and I will inform you if we are available.
fold mirror: we do have expreienced to add fold mirror kit for 2 PRIUS here in Taiwan. we use fold motors form another toyota car fitting to PRIUS, however, the stalk is not fit. The dealership sell full fold mirror kit only, cannot sell them separately.

You will need to buy a control box which makes mirror closed when lock the door and opened when turn on the car(+ACC), no need to push the fold button every time. this control box cost $28.- extra.

We will offer you where the wires should be connect to which signal, but cannot not tell you what color or what position because of it might be difference due to country's different. We suggest you install these kits by professional workshop.

Control box is the relay that was so hard to find on the honda/acuras!! Awesome. I really want this mod now!! Something I always wanted , but could never get to work, since I could never find that freaking control box!! Good work man! Now we need someone to do it! haha.. It will take me a few months of saving to justify spending another 600+ on the car.

All, I managed to complete the installation this past weekend and get it to work. Thanks to many on the forum for the detailed pictures. Although I must say, the puddle/welcome light wire remained to be elusive. I tapped the connection off to the blue wire that's close to the pink wire as some suggested, but it didn't work. It took me 4 taps to finally locate the blue wire ... it was hell because the wires are not very accessible.

I wish there's a better way to locate this elusive blue wire ... but in any case, now everything works. Thanks to everyone for their help!

Glad you got it. Yes, that blue wire... it was a pain. I used a meter (sharp probe ends) to find it. Poked at least four blue wires to find it! Others have tapped the A-pillar blue wire. Oh well.

Update on the mirror in the YouTube video of the Prius that had the LED signals built into the mirror glass:

The person who was promoting the video who makes that glass part for the mirror emailed me back regarding availability. This is what he said:

"Thank you for your kind interest in our item. We have the mould for Toyota Prius and are able to do it for you. However, our item is just the blue mirror with LED but with no housing/plastic base included. You will need to install it with your original base. You understand ?

By the way, to protect the mistake of sending wrong model, please email us your car's pictures for checking that is direct to our available item.

    Thanks & best regards,

Do we think he means that they don't include the actual mirror housing (the painted part that we are installing the signal covers on, and that I'm getting the folding mirror kit for, and that mounts onto the car body)? Or do we think they are meaning the little black "frame" that goes around the outside edge of the mirror glass?

This is a long shot. Does anyone have a recommended installer for these mirrors in Phoenix? I have the mirrors, but I'm a little reluctant to install them myself.

That'll be my same issue, probably... Once I get the signal mirrors, folding mirror kit, and whatever else I can throw on the mirrors (lol), I won't ever have anyone to install them.....like my tail lights sitting in a box in the garage forever and ever...

I think they meant just the mirror glass itself. When you install the turn signal mirrors, you actually salvage the original mirror glass from the OEM units. Here, you'd be using the LED mirror glass and associated wires instead of the OEM mirror glass.

Tail lights are nothing. Any body shop can do them. Mirrors might be a little tricky because of the blue wire but a competent body shop should be able to do them, including the one that you have "trained."

Thanks for the reassurance that they will be able to do the whole blue wire thing. The trouble everyone has had with that had made me afraid! lol! Did you have trouble w/ it when you put yours on?
