    Hey guys,

I want my prius to unlock all 4 doors when I put my hand to the drivers side door. Is there a way to do this? My wife's Lexus had the option to do this so we had the dealer change it.

Also, is there a way to add the keyless entry to the other doors? I hate having to get the key fob out to open the trunk. Lol. U am used to my wife's Lexus.
    Thanks!!

Sitting in the car, shut off, press-and-hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the fob. After a few seconds there'll be a beep or two, and the dash will display a pic of the car, with either one door, or all doors, open. Each time you do the exercise it switches.

I added the keyless entry feature to my car that only came with keyless entry on the driver's door and did a write up of the process here... http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-passenger-door-1-door-sks-gen-iii-prius.html

It takes about $300 for the hardware and a few hours of time to do. I noticed that you're in West Palm... I'm in Orlando, so if you feel like taking a drive north sometime I'd be happy to help you install the parts in your car.

I too was spoiled by my 2006 Prius where all keyless entries worked all three doors. I was shocked when my 2011 Prius II only worked the driver door. Somewhat defeats the purpose of never having to take the fob out of the pocket.

I'll walk to the drivers door, open it and press the unlock button on the door before taking the fob out of my pocket. Agreed it would have been nice to have it unlock at the hatch and passenger side.

If you push the unlock button on the remote twice in a row it will unlock all the doors. As far as I know there's no way to make the first push unlock all the doors.

Why are there so many threads on this subject? People need to learn if they have a question on a subject, they need to click on the search button before they ask.

Bryce, thanks for this page. This is awesome....I was spoiled also with opening all doors with touching the car. I mean if I can leave the key in my pocket to drive, then why do I have to take it out to lock them. I LOVE THIS. I might do this in the next few weeks. Im in tampa, but am in south floirda often, I still have my 954 number lol

The dealer can program the car so that one press of fob will open all 4 doors.

I see this is for the GenIII 2010 models...I have a 2005 and I tried the same approach--holding both unlock and lock at same time, but nothing happens. Is this possible on GenII '05 model? Or is there a difference method? Currently, only one door unlocks when I get close to handle--I'd really like all 4 to :(

Was confused by the OP original question, since I thought the 3-door option actually did 5 doors. So I opened the car with a touch of the driver door, went away and left the fob behind, returned to find all 5 locks unlocked. Likewise, with the fob on me, one touch of the driver door locks all 5 locks. Verified.

Maybe that's an option among many I had the dealer fix back in November, 2009. Check the back of the manual for all the dealer-settable options. Is this something that got screwed up in 2011 over 2010?
