Which regions will have pkg #4 for '06?

Just got word today on what the Pacific Northwest packages will be: #1 (GY), #4 (HG), #5 (HI), #7 (NL) and I don't know about #8 (NW), as they didn't mention that one. Am getting the run-around with the local dealer (in Eugene, OR) as the salesman we thought was on the up and up never calls me back. So, I/we are now talking to a leasing agency that will sell us an '06 Prius. I think I've now got the package and pricing figured out, too, and I think these guys (and a woman who's been great and is a fellow business group member) may give us a better deal and better service than the big dealer here, so we'll see.

Also, this formerly decent dealer NOW tells me (no, they don't have my deposit yet, and aren't likely to get it) that they're marking the Prius up an additional $1200 above MSRP!! So, watch out folks!

So, if you want package #4 and you've always wanted to see the Pacific Northwest...!

 

According to a dealer in Utah, we will be getting primarily package #4. Menlove Dodge Toyota, Bountiful, UT (Salt Lake suburb) (801) 295-3481. I spoke with Josh.

 

The cincinnati region will have package 2, 4, 7, & 8. Anyone interested pm me. Our dealership charges MSRP nothing more.

 

In NY, they don't have package 8 (NW) , but they DO offer the leather seats as a standard option. No additional cost.

 

Here's how to find out.

1. Find ZIPs for cities closest to you, N, S or W, that you think might be in different "regions". (NYC is a region!)

2. Go to the buyatoyota gizmo and input the ZIPs. After you click on the "model" (only one Prius model), it'll tell you, starting with the lowest pkg # and working up, what are the pkgs available.

3. When you find a #4, but might want to go to a different city in the same (or an adjacent) state, say, because one has an airport and another doesn't, then look up the ZIP for that city and try it.

 

Oh, forgot---"how hard" it is for a dealer to get one simply means whether a dealer is WILLING to go to the extra "trouble" (swapping a car with another region). Toyota SAYS you can get any pkg you want, and to ask.

 

Methinks that that is a mistake in on the website. There is no such thing as free leather seat options. You heard it here first :lol:

 

I called Toyota directly cause I ordered a package 4 back in September and now it's not available in my area,,, PA. I don't want to spend $2000. more for a package 6. They very nice on the phone and said there shoudn't be a problem getting me the car I wanted. My dealer called me today about it and said he'll trade with our neighbor state of NY, granted that's only a 40 min. drive. Think NJ has them too.
