    There's nothing happening of note in the month of August. The momentum and excitement for the REVEAL and actual ordering day builds...

    "coming this fall"...

    Well, the requests are coming in regularly. I just hope everyone who's ordered realizes that while I have no concrete details... Toyota corporate has possibly given some journalists more info lately. The Bloomberg article states that they are building 16,000 to 17,000 for 2012.

    But, it's 16,000-17,000 for 15 states. Meaning, how many for CA? I'll be ON it every day leading up to the reveal and your order process. Lots of energy directed at this specific process and NOTHING else during the crucial time frame when the order window opens and then when the cars run out... and the window closes.

    I'm ready. The day the order window opens, I'm ready! Hope everyone who's wanting to order thru me gets in touch, because the devil is in the details. :D

    Last few days now to get the name in the hat to qualify with Toyota for the preorder system!

    If you did plan to order thru me at a discount, log back in and pick your dealer as Carson Toyota in Carson, California, but click "no, no one needs to contact me right now" choice.

    I'll be contacting everyone on my list soon ...

    National Reveal sometime this fall, ordering time immediately thereafter. Arrivals in springtime. And, in CA ... salvation with the GREEN Carpool lane stickers soon afterwards!

    OK, now I'm excited!!

    thanks dianne, i would love to!:) but if you ever tried to register an out of state purchase in mass., you would understand my reluctance. and that's a used vehicle. a new one? probably need a team of lawyers! the rmv here always seems to think you're trying to scam them for some reason. :(

    There are a few Landcruisers, 4WD 4Runners, and even a Solara convertible that I sold new motoring around Beantown areas to this day. There's an MD there who gets a new LC from me every three years and has it shipped... he's been doing that since 1997. It can't be that hard! ;)

    One of them is mine!

    Most likely, I'll be having Dianne ship the car to me. She did that for a friend of mine a number of years ago. That worked out great. In my case, I've been yearning to take a journey out there anyway. But timing would be a challenge. Driving at my leisure later in the year will be nice. It's been 15 years, and then I only got as far as the Grand Canyon. Making a big loop out to and along the coast would be really fun... though odd, not having many opportunities to actually plug in during the trip. But I sure would get a lots of real-world "cordless" data from the experience and a ton of photos!

    In other words, I'm really looking forward to getting a PHV from her next spring and not having to wait until midwest availability later.

    So Diane, is it too late now to get in touch with you? You said Aug 21, but that's when Toyota's system closed. I'm registered on there and was wondering if you're still offering the discount off MSRP+gas card if we choose Carson Toyota as the dealer? My parents are right nearby in Torrance.
