I have this tire on both Prius. I recommend this model if you do not drive in snow. Ecopia EP100: Bridgestone Tires I bought one set at Costco and the other at Discount Tire.
I couldn't agree more. I was in Scottsdale for 1.5 years and drove all over state (even off-roaded the Prius on the Navajo Reservation lol) I averaged 58.5 MPG. I even had a few 60+ tanks. These tires are great when those crazy monsoons hit (the Integrities had horrible wet breaking performance).
Patrick, what kind of wear are you observing on those tires? I've seen reports of low mileage (40k). I hope that is not the case otherwise a higher mileage tire with a tiny bit less fuel efficiency would be better economically.
There are 13K miles on the tires installed on the 2007 (which is now at 35K miles odometer reading.) The tire tread depth now: 8/32" on front, 9/32" on rear. Hence, 8.5/32" average Assuming a linear tread wear rate, a starting tread depth of 10/32" and end of life at 2/32": 1.5 / 8 = 0.188. 13K miles / 0.188 = 69K miles extrapolated life. I typically will replace tires at 4/32" tread depth remaining, so my realized tire life will be lower. To provide a comparison, I replaced the original equipment Goodyear Integrity tires at 22K miles.
