TOKYO (AFX) - Toyota Motor Corp said one of its plants in central Japan has been forced to halt production of the Prius hybrid and other popular vehicles for at least a week after a fire damaged an assembly line. LOL, this thread title is a bit misleading. I thought that actual Prius were catching on fire on the road from some manufacturing error and they had to stop production. Whew.
Secret plan to increase demand??!! Actually, that's too bad, setting them back at least 2000 Prii this year just as the '06s hit the dealerships.
