Here is Eric's original thread => Hybrids on Parade. Help break a World Record. July 24. Madison, WI - PriusChat Forums The event occurred on Sunday, July 24 at smart Toyota in Madison, Wisconsin. All in all, more than 400 people showed up driving a total of 208 hybrids. There were cars representing almost every hybrid currently on the American road. The current world record is 140 hybrids. Apparently, the event was filmed and witnessed. The paperwork and video will be sent to the Guinness World Record people to validation and the results will be announced after their confirmation. A HUGE thank you! and congratulations! to all those who participated. Here are some of my pictures:
Did that Volt count? lol Really good effort and great to see so many different hybrids. I bet it was eerily quiet as they all drove slowly.
Was there a gang of Diesel F-250s tailgating and flashing their lights the whole trip? That looks really cool...I like the pizza prius.
Fortunately, the route was short (2.1 miles), in a quiet area and closed off by police. About Glass Nickel Pizza: someone at Green Drive was telling me about them. The owner is apparently green to the core. Before delivering in the Prius (I think they have more than one) they were running deliveries in their biodiesel vehicles. Can we start a HOP/Geen Drive Expo picture thread somewhere? You can't be the only one with pictures.
I was there, too. It was so quiet, I didn't realize we had started until the parking lot was almost empty!
Crossed another thing off my 'Bucket List' with that. (Helping to set a World Record) Wish they had given us Tee shirts too.
we should have went Sunday instead of Saturday then! Congrats. I was just glad I went and got to drive the prius v and the prius phev.
Do more research on the car and it may change your opinion like it did mine. There is no other car on the market with the cargo/passenger capacity and amenities that gets even close to the MPG of the Prius v. It's the size of a Ford Escape and gets double the average fuel economy. It's within 5mpg of the combined fuel economy of the GenII Prius. You can't tell me that is not impressive. Seriously, check it out. These reviews changed my opinion. http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-v...rius-v-video-review-interior-cargo-space.html PriusChat's 2012 Prius v In-Depth Review and First Drive | PriusChat
