Looks like my region, Mid-Atlantic, is getting 1, 2, 6, 7, 8.

It had been reported previously that we were getting 2, 6, 7, 8.
So they're giving us an additional package, #1.
Yippee! (NOT!)

I want package #4 or #3.
There's a $3k gap between #2 and #6. <_<

 

Hummmm ---- on the Vermont version, there are three packages -- #7 with Nav being the top one. When you "build your Prius", leather is an option with the Classic Silver color. Choosing leather does not increase the price.

Anyone else get this result with the leather option?

hmm, I tried that as well, but didn't add the leather. Maybe it's not a mistake!

(then again, it doesn't show up in the summary - must be a mistake)

 

I just tried it with Package #3, which is our lowest level package with the same results. Gotta be a mistake.

Is it me, or does the pic of the car (when you proceed to color choices) look squished? It just doesn't look quite right...LOL!

 

yeah, if you open the image in a new window, it looks ok. Guess the designers didn't spec the image size properly!

 

Rats, I thought that was the new downsized Prius that gets 80 mpg.

 

Looks like the Prius web site on Toyota.com has been updated in general for 2006s. Look at the pictures of the new Prius...

There seems to be extra badging (appears to be Prius, and then the HSD badge) on the side of the Prius!

Oh, and they have screenshots of the new Energy MFD screen. As we thought, it's higher resolution.

nice, didn't even look for that. That screen looks awesome (see the "360 views and feature demos" for an even better look).

Is it me or does that seaside pearl (look at the "colors" tab) look way darker this year? If that's the seaside pearl color this year, I may have to opt for that over CSM...

can anyone tell if there are actual turn signals on the sides now, or are they just "hybrid" badges?

 

Was anybody able to spot where the rear view camera is on the car? I looked but couldn't find it.

Did they shorten the Califonia Emission Control Coverage? The 05 is covered for 10yrs/150k miles under Cal Emission.

 

I have a seaside pearl from 2005, and judging by the pictures, I expected a car that was nearly sky blue... But my actual car was way darker.

I think all previous photography on Toyota's web site for Seaside Pearl has been way too light in the past, and it looks like for 2006, they corrected it. That Seaside is very close to what my car really looks like.

You can see it under "Photos and Colors". It looks like it won't be available until May 06 though.

 

That gray is pretty DARK!!!. What do you guys think? Does 05 have dark gray?

May be it's time for me to change to some other color exterior.
