i use my 2008 touring prius for work and carry quite a bit of weight in it also do some dirt roads about once every cuople of weeks a heavier duty suspension would be great for me most of what i see on here talks about lowering any suggestions on modifying the suspension to lift the car, especially the rear end a little, etc and make the car be able to handle the extra weight better thinking of long term wear and tear on the suspension, wondering how it is going to hold up and what to replace it with, etc thanks
Check out the people who are doing plug in conversions. Some of them beef up the rear springs. I found this reference: I have place order for springs. POHL SPRING WORKS, tele # 800 777 1284 or Call MIKE 509 535 3649 .. It is 2 springs for rear 500 lb for $325.
thanks a lot, i will check this out anyone who has put these rear springs on please let me know about them thanks
Worth checking but should be OK. The rear of the car is considerably lighter than the front and the tires are sized to handle the front weight.
hi., i have placed this info on chat, i have used this springs and it is making a lot diff. i am having 8 kwh plug in load, still it is workin:rockon:g good
Good question.. last weekend I had 200-300 pounds of laminate flooring in the back of mine. really didn't drag that far down, but you could tell when you took off...
