I have seen some were that somebody posted how to access the back of the radio. I did a search and couldn't find it. I am installing a subwoffer in the rear and want to install a harness with out taking too much of the dash apart. Can anybody help me with that? I will post pictures and installation instructions when I finish. I will be installing the bazooka with Scion wiring harness that will work with our radio system. Someone posted earlier that they had it done at circuit city in Southern Ca. and it sounded great. Charlie
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(charliep\";p=\"78252)</div> Charlie, Probably the easiest "blind" way to do it is to pull off the passenger side vent cover just to the right of the MFD. You'll see a computer with lots of plugs on the left right next to the stereo head unit. There is a bolt (10mm hex head) holding it in place. Using an extension on a socket or a long screw-driver remove that bolt. You'll now be able to push the computer a little bit to the side. That should allow enough access to get your hand behind the stereo to access the plug in area for your harness.
Here's a .pdf that I have used to install my subs and amp/wiring. It's from Chris Dragon, couldn't find a link, so hopefully this .pdf works okay for ya. Good luck!
Thanks Guys!!! The bazooka should arrive on Friday. Going diving on the weekend. Will probably start installation next week. Charlie
Here are the pics I posted. To get to the first step, follow the instructions for changing the cabin air filter in the manual: [Broken External Image]:http://www.baxsie.com/prius/prius_xm_remove_junction_box.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://www.baxsie.com/prius/prius_xm_radio_exposed.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://www.baxsie.com/prius/prius_xm_insert_cable.jpg
