This is EXACTLY why I hated the auto-lock. I have to pull out of my space to let a passenger in -- and doing this I have to manually unlock the doors.

Now the question is -- will the doors unlock automatically in the event of a crash? I never liked auto-lock for the reason if I was incapacitated the doors would be locked for emergency workers.

I don't believe so. I've looked through the system descriptions and diagrams for both the door locks and the SRS. There is no indication that the doors unlock in the event of a crash.

I believe this is a good thing - I'm sure there are more ejections from vehicles (due to unlocked doors, and no belts) in crashes than times emergency workers can't get in the vehicle. It's pretty simple to break the glass and manually unlock the door if the occupants are unresponsive - EMTs all know how.

This is the exact reason I wanted to enable the speed detection auto lock feature, however the service manager and tech both told me yesterday that there was no such option despite what the owners manual states... any advice?

Is it possible to unlock all doors with a single pressing of remote? It's cumbersome to press twice and have beeping many times... Thx

yes it is, just ask your dealer to do it or read the manual. if i remember right, this can be set by following the directions in the manual.
