I have an 05' with 90,000 miles in the AZ heat. Is this something I can replace with a "top-of-the-line" battery? $250.00 seems a bit steep..... Any install procedures above the "norm?" Thanks, Ryan
There are dozens of threads on dedicated to the 12v battery. I cannot post links with my phone so I suggest you use the search function on this forum. Elearnaid.com sells an Optima yellow top re placement battery with all the materials needed to swap out your OEM unit. The install is easy and the battery is much better.
Find another dealer with more reasonable parts prices. I paid $138.70 plus tax last December at Precision Toyota, Tucson, when replacing the battery in my 2007.
My local BatteriesPlus sells the Optima D51 over the counter for $159.99 Thats the way I'm going. It will require a battery adaptor cable I saw at Autozone for $15.
ordered mine from elearnaide whole kit for $180.00 cant wait for it to come in.... our battery is starting to drop voltage 10.46 last I checked, so is our milage, so hopefully this will help, should be here by thursday! Arizona has been very hot
Amazon has the Optima for $159.99. Except... "This item is not for sale in Catalina Island" Wonder what happened for Catalina Island to get this treatment?
