Have read the posted threads about finding a Prius and wasn't much help. The dealership we have gone to has stated they are trying to find one in the southeast region because that's where we live but aren't having much luck. I know production is down and scheduled to regain completely by Sept. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I might find a III (three) with leather anywhere? Thanks in advance for any help! Oh yea, we have put a deposit down with the dealership but only have 3 weeks until my wife has to give up her company car so we are kinda desperate. My profile states we have a 2011 but I thought I had to put something there when I registered. We are wishing and hoping for a 2011 III
I just went through the same problem. I live in SC near Savannah GA. I could not find one around here. I ended up going to rick hendrick toyota fayetteville nc last Sunday and they had one i liked. It's in my drive way now. I know they have a couple left. Ask for Juan, he helped me. Tell him Leo sent you.
Is this a trick question? You aren't going to find a Three with leather because Toyota puts leather in the Four & Five. If you go to Toyota Cars, Trucks, SUVs & Accessories you'll be able to only build cars that your region orders. If you want something else then you'll need to use a zip code from a different region.

Thanks so much for the good info. I'm thinking my dealer has access to any dealer in the Southeast Region. He stated he was going to try to trade a prius he has for the one I'm looking for. I guess I will either have to wait or buy something I don't want. Think I'll wait!!!!
Do your own Prius search at Toyota.com. Expand your zip code to areas outside of SE Toyota. I found my Prius in a different Toyota region from where I live. It's also possible that some dealers may not be willing to dealer trade. You can do the research and make the dealer contacts online.
Not really true. The Prius III does not come standard with leather, but it can be added. Mine came from the dealer with leather pre-installed. Added leather seats are not quite the same as the IV, for example my wife's IV has leather wrapped steering wheel and the console and door panels are different. Still, I like my seats just fine. Vic
There is one coming into Ocala, Fl - Deluca Toyota in another week. I don't know if it's been presold or not, but it isn't listed as having leather until you actually open the window. I think it was a blizzard pearl and it looks like it has cloth until you actually open the window with the detailed description and read the added features.
A lot of us are in the same or similar boats. I'd intended to order one today, but I took my current car in for work, and it took hours, so it was too late. Mine's not a company car, but of the half dozen things that needed doing, I only did the ones that were dangerous, and it cost an arm if not a leg. Whether or when the rest gets done is dependent on when it can be traded, so it's a race to see which comes first, the new car or the failure of the old. The dealership I've been in touch with says a 6-week wait, but who knows. And my order's not even in. Meh. On the plus side, the current car is a Civic, and they just keep going and going. Extremely tolerant cars. Imhope, certainly.

Good News!!! My dealer just called me yesterday (Sat.) and told me he had found and claimed, in port, my prius III with added leather and blizzard pearl color. I just wanted to sincerely thank everyone that responded so promptly to my request. What a great site this is for prius folks. I will be using this alot as my adventure into Priusville begins a long and happy journey. Thank you all for taking your time and effort to help me. (you ain't heard the last from Earnest T. I am in DFW area and looking for a Silver Prius IV with solar roof. All the dealers claim there aren't any Prii here in DFW area. Any suggestions ? thanks much
Currently there are no Silver Prius IVs with solar roofs avaliable in the Gulf States Region. (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas). There are 2 Silver Prius IVs inbound to GST both with nav but no solar roof. I do have a Prius III in classic silver with a solar roof inbound to me. It will arrive early next week. I am in Houston.
7-9-11 Last year when our 2006 Prius burned in a house fire, we decided to purchase another one. It was fun to use the web for our search. We found a 2009 Prius Touring-demo at a good price. It was titled as new. I flew from Austin, Texas to Chicago one morning, took the local train to Crystal Lake, signed the papers and drove home with it. All in all, a great adventure. Congrats on the news that yours is coming in on the next boat...

I started looking thursday, and worked my way thur all the toyota dealers in portland, found one Friday (was flexible on color) , called gave $500 deposit over phone, picked it up today, blizzard white, i love it even better that our previous black prius. I would use the dealer sites, when i went to pick it up this am, they told me it had been there for few days, i was surphised it wasnt sold.
I had the 5000 mile service for my Prius done yesterday. They have a silver v on the lot and were busy getting ready to prep a huge load of Prii they were unloading off the truck. Roseville Toyota in Roseville Ca.
