I HAVE A 2006 PRIUS WITH 127,OOO MILES, I WAS DRIVING TODAY AND THE master warning, vsc, charging system warning light on.... ALSO THE A/C TURN OFF BUT I TURN THE CAR OFF AT MY HOUSE AND 2 HOURS LATER THE HYBRID SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT IS ON ONLY.... AND NOW THE A/C WORKS ... ANY INFO WILL BE GREAT..BUT TAKING IT TO THE DEALER TOMMOROW IF IS STILL UNDER HYBRID WARRANTY....
Most likely, the inverter coolant pump has failed. Your car should have been included in the LSC which will replace that pump at no charge. Check the inverter coolant reservoir when the car is IG-ON. You should see turbulence in the fluid which shows the pump is working. If you do not see this then the pump definitely needs to be replaced.
ok today my car is back to normal ,no warning lights at all.....and also inverter pump they change it like 4 months ago at the dealer for the recall.....
Whether or not the inverter pump was already replaced, I recommend that you verify for yourself that the pump is running, via the visual check that I described above. If the pump has failed, then the car will work OK until the inverter overheats.
You probably inadvertently rebooted the system by restarting it, however the inverter system coolant pump should be paid close attention to in summer. I will not go into this subject or rebooting as there is already plenty of threads on both subjects. Just use Priuschat SEARCH.
