I saw a trailer for a movie which I did not catch the name of, and it had a line something like: first guy "I like to street race" (might have been drag race) second guy "You drive a Prius !" first guy "I lose a lot"
the movie is horrible bosses it went more like "can you explain why you were doing 65 in a 25" "i was drag racing" "in a prius?" (Gen 2) "i don't win a lot"
The Prius isn't a race, sports, or performance car by any means but it's not the slowest for sure. The Prius isn't even in the top 10 slowest new cars but catches all the negative flack because it's so iconic. Nissan Versa, Honda Civic LX, Hummer H3, Kia, and Smart for 2 are all slower to name a few. But "in a Civic LX?" doesn't sound as good. Looks like a stupid movie anyway with a terrible message. Plus its not even Prius owners it's insulting towards. American middle management is cringing right now and I imagine that's a lot of people.
I almost split my side when I heard that movie trailer. You know why the Yugo had a rear window defroster? To keep your hands warm when pushing it. Back when I had a Yugo people laughed at that car so much until they found out what I paid for it, brand new!
