I picked up my Package 6 back in Sept. Here is what I did: Pickep up a bluetooth phone Surfed PriusChat and learned much, such as how to program the Prius and phone to talk with each other. Here is another idea. Beg, borrow or steal the manual for your Nav system. It will take you a few days to get through this. If you are trading in a car, do your research on what it's worth so you can be sure just how much the dealer is screwing you on the trade in value. Good luck!
ok ok... i admit i babble a lot. welcome to the forum. actually you do have quite a bit of studying ahead of you. learning the proper driving techniques and keeping up with the growing list of cool mods will definitely keep you busy for a while... then again... that might make the 'smores more like 'SMORES!!
Well you can go here http://techinfo.toyota.com/index.html down load the owners manual and commit it to memory. After that down load the service manuals and commit them to memory and you will know as much as Danman32 By the way my theory is that Bill Merchant is a hologram. Any other Red Dwarf fans around.
Read "The Prius That Shook The World". Of course it is out of print, impossible to get, and I would not have a link to a PDF of it. So do not even think of sending me a PM asking for a link to it.
It surely is encouraging to find suggestions for more things to do while i am also waiting for my Prius to arrive. Though i have been on the waiting list since Sept, i am planning to defer taking delivery till 2006. The tax credit lure is too much to miss out on...
Yea.. but its still fun to look at the toys under the christmas tree even if you can't open them till christmas!..... Some feel its torture..... some thinks its fun.... Don't you like smelling the food before its done? I tend to forget as much as I can when it comes to a vacation coming on... It makes going to work a torture if I dont'.... but when it comes to a car... I love to shop and learn beforehand to prepare myself... Download every piece of info I can to do my homework and learn as much as I can so I'll know what I have once I get it.... Try a few links... http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Toyota_Prius_FAQ http://home.earthlink.net/~jkash1/ http://calcars.org/priusplus.html http://john1701a.com/ - Note the downloads at the bottom of this link http://gallery.joesdiner.com/gallery/prius_interior http://hybridcars.about.com/od/ownership/a/pulseandglide.htm http://www.aceee.org/transportation/hybtaxcred.htm http://hybridcars.about.com/od/photogaller...iusphotos_8.htm http://cars.about.com/od/toyota/fr/05_toyo_prius.htm http://www.hybridcars.com/tax-deductions.html http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bestworst.shtml http://www.katu.com/consumernews/story.asp?ID=79020 Just from those sites you can go almost anywhere... Now after browsing thru those links you will gender plenty of questions and opinions.... you will be chatting up a storm in no time..... that helps the time pass in a pleasant way....... This forum really helps the pain of waiting... but it also feeds the disease!... Have fun!!!
First, Read This Article to make sure you know about the church you're joining. Next take the advice to download and memorize the owner's manual Also, consider well before you take delivery looking at the Knowledge Base--in particular you should download and print out the Pre-delivery check list and things to know and do. The old knowledge base articles are linked in a sticky under the Knowledge Base Discussion forum here. Also, be sure to read my article on "Why Don't I get EPA Gas Mileage". Both as a premptive move so you don't come here with that question and so you can kinda prepare yourself for what to expect and how to best understand what will and won't help your gas mileage. Regarding The Prius That Shook The World...see uploaded file....

Before I opened this thread I was thinking "I'm going to Mt. Bachelor ski area tomorrow, opening day, while waiting for my Barcelona Red". Then I saw that you're from Bend. See you in the lift line? Or the bar. I'll be in one or the other.
