That news has not reached North Carolina or at least I have not heard it. My concern is whether it was a random shooting, or the driver was singled out because he drove a Prius.
They probably thought he was wearing the wrong color and took it as disrespect. I heard some gang-bangers really fly off the handle at any hint of disrespect.
Do they still execute with the gas chamber in California? Why not convict the low-life that killed the Prius driver then put him in the gas chamber with exhaust fed from his set of wheels?
Hard to kill someone in another vehicle with rolled up windows without guns... Imagine if knives are the worst available.
I am on the other side. Having grown up with a very high rate of legal gun ownership and a comparatively low violent crime rate, it will be extremely difficult to convince me that guns necessarily increase violence. Too bad SCOTUS dealt the gun banners two very serious blows in the past three years. I'm more concerned about injury and mortality from motor vehicles, particularly the battering rams of death subject to lesser safety and compatibility standards than are passenger cars.

I seriously doubt a loony will whip an SUV out of their pocket in a crowd full of people. But I do agree that it is shameful how SUVs came to be just to circumvent passenger car safety laws... I have a laser guided NERF rocket launcher. Cat loves it.

No one would go there if they were concerned about their safety especially after dark. Unfortunately a major commuter freeway runs right in the middle of it. Chances are that a young homeboy or gangsta was out earning his merit badge to prove him worthy of membership. Hence the timing of 2:30am when traffic was light and a speedy getaway was possible. This happens frequently in this area.
I heard he had 4 bullets in him. Still had time to call 911 before he passed. He was pretty tough but nothing can save you from that.
