We bought a 2007 recently and from the articles in the forum I'm not getting my best milage with aftermarket wheels.I was wondering if those of you who have replaced wheels think I can trade these 17" wheels and 3 nexen & 1 sumitomo tires about half tread for stock wheels with New LRR 185-65-15 tires?
Best of luck but I'm going to tell you a good part of your horrible mileage is greatly due to those Nexens my friend....they are just garbage cheap tires all around period! If you bought better tires you'd get better mileage. (maybe not 15" mileage but at least 5mpgs better than now)
I would have to agree with LIPriusFreak. I have tC wheels with Conti DWS which are not LRR tires and still get 51mpg. Mileage did dip to 47 for the first 500 miles as my tires were breaking in but all is well now (engine breaking in probably has something to do with it too).
My car has less then 2000 miles on it. I will trade u if u want t o come get them in west palm.. Pm mr ur info.
