I wasn't expecting to go home with it. After driving it I wanted to drive a Corolla one more time... as I'm notorious for changing my mind :D A quick 30 seconds in the Corolla, and I knew I wanted the Prius.

I read every one of the 600+ pages of the manual last night. Good stuff to know, but I've learned a lot more here at PC.

So far... almost 60mpg on the SG. Just normal driving, taking it easy. I don't even know much about hypermiling yet, but I'm hoping to get the numbers a lot higher than 60's.

The gauge in the Prius says about 47.1, which is probably more accurate... but I don't know. I haven't even set up anything in it yet. 100 miles on the odometer!

I was dreading the buying experience, but there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever at the Toyota dealership. The finance guy listed everything on the extended warranty, and the prices (monthly and yearly). But was nonchalant about it... "here it is if you want it." And they didn't try to upsell anything at all. I paid sticker price, was happy with that.

BTW... the rocker moldings and illuminated door sills look amazing!

Actually, I bought the ScanGuage pre-purchase, and used it in my Corolla for a few weeks. I just plugged it in the Prius today.

They still have a new blue one at the dealer. It's a Three, and really nice. I'd love the NAV and JBL. The blue looks shiny now, but I'd think it would show every bit of dirt.

Congrats Ottlane! What color did you get?

Gotcha'...you added it yourself postpurchase. :) I am considering one...I'm a bit skint right now, so it's a heavy decision. The prospect of having beep control and seeing more accurate (?) MPG is enticing.

if the car says 47.1 you will end up getting 45 or 44 with your numbers from the gas pump. Your SG sounds way off.

It's brand new ... the SG hasn't 'learned' the car yet.

Mine took about 6 tanks before it finally didn't need any adjustments on the amount of gas used for a fillup ... now it's usually within a tenth of a gallon of what I really put in the car.

Do you notice any distinct volume and quality difference with your fm radio vs. the satellite radio?

That's probably true about the SC not learning the car yet. Plus, the 59mpg was just in 1 trip... I didn't mention that before in the original post.

Right now I'm just above half a tank with a little over 200 miles on the ODO. But on the "trip" it says about 350 miles until I'd need a fill-up. I'll have a lot more accurate numbers after the second fill-up.

If that question was for me... I haven't used Satellite Radio. The Prius Two is only SR compatible, it doesn't actually have it.

I'm old school, I like CDs... don't listen to the radio one bit.
