I've got a 2006 Prius with GPS navigation. Is there a way to get rid of the caution warning one gets every time one starts the car? I have to press "Agree" each time and am looking for a setting to get rid of the warning. The warning reads: CAUTION Drive safely and obey traffic rules. Watching this screen while vehicle is in motion can lead to a serious accident. Make all selections only while stopped. Some map data may be incorrect. Read safety instructions in Navigation Manual. Thanks, HL
The newer firmware allows you to tap the map button on the steering wheel or just wait it out. With the older firmware, you have to press the soft button on the screen, or add an external "lockpick" device that simulates the key stroke. Tom
I was able to get rid of the "I agree" on my 2007 by updating the NAV system DVD. You still get a warning, but it dismisses itself after a couple of seconds. More in this thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/private-sales/45587-08-dvd-navigation-map-cd-sale.html
Very interesting. So I guess gen 5 v10.1 is the latest and greatest for 2007 Prius. Thanks qbee42 and dogfriend!
