Bill, Stock Wheels? Are those stock wheels without the trim rings? They look good; did the rings leave scratch marks when you took them off?
Stock wheels, no trim rings. They are sitting in my well house, ready to go back on with the Integrity Tires when I trade the Silver Cloud in on the next generation Prius...
Some here have speculated that they provide similar advantages in aerodynamics as solid discs except they don't look as futuristic as solid discs.
[attachmentid=592][attachmentid=591]Hey, you CAN drive on one of the Oregon beaches! This is from our trip to the left coast summer 2004. And you can also park yer Pug on the beach...
Here is Misti this past summer '05 near Mystic, CT sporting 5 fresh coats of zinno wax and posing with 2 VERY BIG Prius fans. Fishers Island Sound in background. [attachmentid=593][attachmentid=595] ps: wanted to show off my splash guards too, surprisingly they do not deter from my 55 summer mpg. pps: first time attaching pix, seems like a no brainer...here goes...
But, you can't drive your car on the beach in South Carolina: [Broken External Image]:http://www.dsmchips.com/Sunken-Car.jpg Article
Bill, Have you noticed any difference in your gas mileage since you removed your plastic wheel trim? Bernie Super white 2005 Prius
Well I'm not Bill but I took mine off when I saw Bill's car at our Prius Meet Group in Portland. No difference that I can tell.
Brrrr... do you call your Prius 'Silver Cloud'? I actually managed to collide with a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud '62 a couple of months ago. The ***** was driving in the wrong direction on a one way street, but I was driving my Prius out from a garage so the bill is on me. My front bumper was not a pretty sight, neither was his rear fender. Well, at least no one was hurt.
Hi Bernie, I have noticed no difference in MPG with or without the trim rings. And I like the look better without. I'm sorry you bumped into the other kind of Silver Cloud, swepri. I call my car the Silver Cloud because it's so quiet and floats serenely down the road. The RR Silver Cloud is another fine car, but I prefer my Prius.
