2011 IV, blizzard white on bisque leather, nav, moonroof/solar. I love this car and am averaging 56.6 mpg after 100 miles of driving, incredible!!! Will post a photo once I hit 5 posts. Now tell me, what are some great tricks and tips I can use with this car? Reverse beep being turned off this week and rear bumper scuff pad being installed. So far my big gripe, the iPod hookup is PISS poor! No song titles, can't scan through artists, I'm actually really disappointed, my Infiniti makes this setup look like controlling an iPod with an abacus. help!!!
I got my Four this week as well. Enjoy! As far as the iPod, have you tried the USB hookup? I understand you get song titles, etc., that way. I have been bluetoothing it so far. Got another USB cable on order. Boy - my mileage is nowhere near that high. Of course, I live at 800' elevation, and work at 0' - so I've spent half my travel time picking up elevation.
Congrat on the Blizzard Pearl IV, mine just pass 4900+ miles and I am average 51+mpg calculated and the MFD shown 55.1 mpg. I kept the reverse beep to keep me inform that I am on reverse...since the Prius is so quiet and smooth I know it's a bit annoying. I also have the iPod classice 120G plug in it DOES have artists, album, gerne and by songs, I also create playlist for various listening taste. You definitely need to use the iPod dock cable and plug into the USB port inside the middle compartment. The JBL sound system is the best factory sound system so far compare to my previous vehicles, when you want to use the iPod make sure you select "Audio" and choose tab "USB" and once start playing you will see the Song tittle, Album Title and Artist. Have you try out the NAV traffic yet? try plan a route and the NAV system will tell you the traffic condition ahead by as far as 20 miles or more and the congestion distance, pretty cool I use it daily to see the traffic ahead when I am dropping off my twins to school. The XM radio is excellent too. Also...go to toyota owner site and you can download the PDF version of the owner manual and check the recall bullet online.
Also, you need to read the NAVI manual...and set your preferences. Factory preferences for the NAVI is usually set to avoid highways...you need to change that! Or else, you would think how crappy the NAVI system is. It is actually a very good system (if the destination is on the map).
Thank you so much guys! I have 60g iPod classic hooked up with USB but am using the AUX to play it, and I thought I was tech savvy. I had nav traffic in my Infiniti and it's incredible and my XM never comes off of the Howard Stern channel. I will change preferences this morning on the nav. Coming from the Infiniti G37S coupe, I didnt think I would enjoy this car but I love the options, the looks, the mpg, the comfort, the room.... I love this car! No regrets, although I paid more than I wanted
Congrats!
