Not sure if any of you have seen this yet. I saw it at vtec. Honda is recalling the Civic. Could not tell if the HCH is affected but the accelerator pedals were not installed correctly on around 24K Civics and they could stick and cause a crash. http://vtec.net/forums/one-message?message_id=443583
Oh jeez. I guess it's a good thing, especially since it's the accelerator. It shouldn't affect the HCH since it's built in Japan vs. the sedan
No, the HCHs are not seemingly affected according to a post further down on the forum which states that the Hybrids are assembled in Japan, SIs and coupes are assembled in Canada and the sedans which, are the ones reportedly affected, are assembled in Ohio. Go Figure! <_<
That pretty much reverses the trend of major recalls for Japanese built cars over the last few months, at least in Toyota's case. :lol:
my neighbors civic was in this recall, and the dealer had the car for several days. apparently a small number of cars affected, but a problem to fix.
