my 12volt thru the scan gage says voltage is 13.4 checking the battery itself it says 12.7 anyone seen this with power off
Were both of these readings taken with the car in Ready or the car off? Or the 13.4V with the car Ready and then the 12.7 with the car off? If the 13.4V was taken with the car Ready and then the 12.7V at the battery with the car off, that is normal. The 13.4V would be with the HV battery charging the battery while the car was Ready. Then with the car off the 12.7V at the battery would be normal. If this is not the case, then you will need to give us a little more info.
yes JD you have it correct,, i realized the error of my thinking after i sent the message,,, however, i normally think of a fully charged batt just after engine off at abt 13v.
