I just called for a status update on my Prius and was told it is scheduled for delivery to the dealership sometime between May 24-27. No VIN available yet--which I thought was odd, because shouldn't it be available once the car hits the port? Previously the status showed that it would arrive in Portland between May 11-13 (Sunbelt Spirit hit Portland a few days ago--it was the only known Toyota shipping ship that I saw anywhere near Portland in that date range so I was tracking it...what are the chances my car was on it? Hmmm...). I take it this news is most definitely a good sign to have a "dealership arrival" date range. The end of the month can't come soon enough!!! :whoo:
Sorry you have to wait for the car. It's such an odd concept for a 'mainstream' car. One would think you wait for such cars as exotic sports cars and such. anyrate, Prius is a very special car. I'm driving a rental today, and just getting out there, driving, it is showing me 56 city / 58 hwy MPG. At the pump, it will be a couple less than that, but still, geeeez, that's some MPGs.
