 Hi All, Is this Warrantyshack Toyoyota extended warranty For $990 for real and if so can you still get it even if you just bought your 2008 prius like last week with the dealers inflated marked up warrany:mad2:?? Can i just cancel the warranty I got at the dealer and then buy the Warrantyshack one?
Yes it is real, its a Genuine Toyota Extended Warranty, honored by all dealers across the US. You can buy anytime within the 36,000/36mo warranty, currently the price is $990, doesn't mean it couldn't change a little over time, but thats the price currently. You have 30 days to cancel your dealer warranty, probably the same warranty by the way, within 30 days you get all your money back, after, you are prorated. You can also tell dealer you are canceling because you found a better deal from another dealer (truth because thats who sells the PC's warranty) just don't tell them who or where, don't want to screw up a good deal for Prius owners, he might match price, if he does, your call.
All right!!! Now thats good news..I feel a little better now...That dealer raised the price $5000 bucks over MSRP, so I need back every little penny I can get>
Where do you find this Warranty Shack deal does anyone have url? Also what are the specifics of this extended warranty and how does it compare with other extended warranties?
Here's the huge thread on the warranty deal: http://priuschat.com/forums/sponsor...rius-extended-warranty-service-contracts.html And here is where you can fill out a form to receive a price quote (you can also request a quote for the Prepaid Maintenance Plan): Toyota Extended Warranty Quote Request | WarrantyShack
Yes, The Warranty Shack toyota extended warranty is for real Yes, the warranty is for real, I declined both the Extended Warranty ($1,595) and the maintenance plan from my dealership that I purchased the vehicle from and went with Troy @ Warranty Shack. So far, I've only had a slight problem with the maintenance coupons (the dealership needs to contact Toyota for reference numbers) but otherwise, everything is GREAT on the warranty and maintenance plan
got the extended warranty in april2011, already used it for the faulty oxygen sensor ($250, which should have been covered imho by the emissions warranty but it wasn't), i think it was a great deal ($1050)
Then don't buy an extended warranty. You'd do better buying $1000 worth of lottery tickets; at least you'd get about half of it back.
