I have a new 2010 Prius IV that came with a trial subscription of XM Satellite Radio. However, I prefer the channel lineup of Sirius. Is it possible to switch to Sirius on the installed radio, or would I need to swap out equipment?

Many of their stations are the same, music-wise. Would getting an xm subscription with the best of sirius be what you are looking for?

I don't think you can switch from xm to sirius easily.

Music stations are now the same. Best of Sirius gets you Howard Stern, Martha Stewart, Playboy, NASCAR and all the NFL games.

Swapping out equipment, if available, wouldn't be worth it.

The opposite may not be valid. Sirius subscribers who order the best of XM don't get MLB.

I had Sirius for several years and still have a lifetime subscription in my Thunderbird. You can get used to XM really fast. Of course, I wouldn't listen to Howard Stern if they paid me, so that might make a difference for some.

I listen to Howard Stern and already have two Sirius subscriptions at $12.95/month. With the new XM radio I'd have to get XM + Best of Sirius for $16.95/month, in other words $50/year extra for Howard compared to a Sirius subscription. Swapping out equipment, if possible, would actually make sense and pay for itself quickly -- I'm already giving SiriusXM way too much money.
