I came across this product at Cruchfield.com. Has anyone tried this? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-hCtQIP5yv9V/c...sp?i=581PA10TOY
Interesting -- it looks very much like my VAIS-100i unit, physically. It's major differences appear to be that it does not display track information on the MFD, or allow you to control the iPod from the MFD; and it is limited to 5 playlists.
I tried the USASpec Aux Input with my Prius and it didn't work at all. It also lowered the volume on the XM Radio like the iPod2Car did. Bob
If you can not get VIAS AIC100i, try AUX2CAR. I used DiscountCarStereo.com before. I am very happy with their service. They actually have someone answser phone and email! I ordered a PIE aux input for my Honda Civic Hybrid from them. Now I have a Prius, so asked DiscountCarStereo.com what will work on the Prius for IPOD adaptor. Here is their respond. > Thanks for your interest in our products and services. > The radio must have a 12-pin cd changer connector on the back to > accept the interface cable.. if your not sure, please check before > orderingthe AUX2car and Toyota T-harness > http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=749 > http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=848 > > Have a pleasant and productive day! > Jay Coban > [email protected] > http://www.discountcarstereo.com > Serving the internet community since 1995. > Thanks for continuance of patronage and dedication to Discount Car Stereo Inc. > (804) 717-5717 Fax ( 804) 717-2229 M-F 11:00 AM-6:30 PM > Closed Saturday and Sunday I believe that AUX2CAR will emulate a CD changer. Not Mini Disc changer. So, if you already have a CD changer, you are out of luck. --Hilore
