Strange border on Multi-Function Display

    I have had a 2008 for a few weeks now and something strange just happened with the display.

    After parking out in the sun for a few hours on an 85 degree day, there was a small white border around my display. Everything seemed to be functioning OK. After a while of driving the border went away.

    But the border appeared and then disappeared several times during my drive home.

    The border never snapped in, but would gradually appear and then gradually fade out. -- Very strange.

    Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this odd behaviour?

    Perhaps photos would help? Or a visual diagram showing what you mean?
    What I have noticed before is that the MFD seems to have a border that never lights up, but I doubt that's what you're asking about.
