What is the Name, Version # and release # of the SSC-40A

    What is the Name, Version # and release # of the latest SSC-40A ECU upgrade? I'm having it done on Thursday.

    My dealer told me it is v10.28 dated 12/11/03.

    BUT: I know for a fact that there is some question about the version numbers between the orginginal and the upgrade.

    There is also a post about a major CPU crash/burn caused by reloading the old version by mistake. Owner had to wait for a new CPU!

    You may want to check this with your dealer - assuming they have a clue.

    I felt at the time they should call it 10.28a or 10.28.1, if the original was also called 10.28.

    They had my car all day and seemed to have some problems doing this 45 minute change.

    Don't feel bad - it took my dealer 2 trips and 2-3 days total to get mine done. Something about having the wrong cable, then it "not taking the first time".

    They did the software upgrade without any problem.

    Where is the sticker supposed to be located to tell those of us that weren't recalled that this update was performed already?

    I looked a bit Saturday while filling the wiper fluid tank, but didn't spot it...

    is that the same SSC-40A involving the following VIN range?

    KB20U 40001009 – 40012242
    KB22U 40001142 – 40012271

    I can tell you the last 4 of my VIN is 0739, purchased on 10/25/03.

    It was included on the bulletin list.

    hmm, not in the specified range, but it's still in the early production. i guess they just wanted to cover the first ones that came out. :wink:
