What rims are these? I love the color and the spoke pattern. It matches your car perfectly. But I am concerned about how the rims sticks out though - I'm not talking about offset either. It looks like your tires slope inwards way behind the rim, so it's not even flush, it's pushed out. Is it supposed to be like that, or is it just the tire you chose?

Great job on the other mods too.

    What size wheels and tires?

Is your car dropped or stock?

It is called tire stretching. Can't really tell from the pics. They looking the tires might be stretched on the rims.

Tire stretching has bugged me since the 1980s when mini-trucks used to do it on Daytons... Ugggg

    Puke!

Your car overall looks awesome. It almost doesn't even look like a Prius anymore. Good job!

yes they are stretched. 225 on a 9.5" to be exact:) A bit more then i wanted(wife=curb killer)but the rim is only available in that width so i had no choice but to do a mild stretch. And trust me, coming from the nissan realm..this isnt even stretched(how about 225 on a 10.5 or 11:O)
Tails were painted over at a body shop- candy red. They look so stock non-pri owners can't even notice even when I tell them. Wheels are 18X9.5 +32 with 225/40/18. Lowered on Teins(i'd go coilovers, but getting the spings OK'd with the Mrs. was hard enough)
F8l.. ur right. But you have to find the line between Hellaflush and just plain cholo status.

Ride isnt that different from stock.. little bumpy but cant complain. A Cadillac compared to my other cars lol. MPG has dropped about 2-3.

Totally! You didn't make it to cholo status so it's aight. :)

I can't wait to drop my GenII and put the 17s back on once I can afford new tires.

Well that's caused non-prius owners don't look at Priuses 24/7 like we do. And I wouldn't go so far as to say they look stock - if it did the reverse light would still be white. ;)

Can you take some pics with the sun to your back so you can see the wheels better? The pics are so dark, hard to see the wheel.

+1  I hate the look of stretched tires. It looks terrible, it's not safe, & it hurts the handling. Way to easy to peel a tire off the rim. It reminds me of seeing crap like this all over the place when I lived in New Mexico.

Nice spoke design to go with the tint and red taillights, but the wheels stick out way too much.

Does the front rub with the +32? I have 225/40 18's with a offset +35 and Eibach spring and they rub like crazy. Replacing my wheels (which came off my 07 Matrix) with some 18s with a +45 or better to eliminate the rubbing.
