Toyota will be allowing me a couple of hours to see, touch, start, photograph and ask questions about the Prius V next week. First of all, if there is anyone in the Springfield, MO area that wants to see it please contact me by PM and I can give you the exact date/time/location--otherwise I've been asked to keep that private. I can invite friends and family to see it. Next, are there any questions you would like asked, any parts you want photos of, anything you want me to check on? I'm already planning of photos to compare cargo capacity, but the comparison will be to my 2nd gen Prius since I don't have a 3rd gen. The radio will not be the production model--which is a shame. Not sure why they won't let me drive it but they won't.
I think being able to take a picture with two car seats in the back would be great. If Toyota will fly me down I can bring two seats with me.
For those in the NYC area, I'll also have the car brought to me in Staten Island toward the end of May. So as I get the info finalized, I'll make a post similar to Evans, and you're more than welcome to come out and see it and ask questions as well. You can bring your car seats Ryan lol. And I'll also take pics comparing it to my 2010s trunk size.
Sounds good, right now it'll be either a Wednesday or a Friday. I know Friday is probably better for all but my dad will not be around and he too would like to see it. If Wednesday is not possible for Toyota, it will be the Friday they asked about. I'll be sure to make a post once confirmed as dan mode, Dennis and others from the area may also be interested.
Can you please get some pictures of the MID/MFD? like the economy displays next to the speedometer. (& a just take a million photos of everything ) Thanks
Evan will be getting a shot at it first but I'll be sure to as well. I've already got 3 other Prius owners who say they definitely will swing by so I'm sure they'll be taking lots of pics as well. For now, this was the only good mid shot I found, which I am sure you've seen already...
They are bringing us the Prius v to see, touch, take pics with and ask questions about. The new, not out yet, 'station wagon' Prius as some call it.
i.e., everyone except toyota Prius+ works ok, Prius Wagon, or Prius Estate would be even easier to understand.
Yeah anything but the Prius v, 5 years later Danny will still be moving Prius V post out of the Prius v posts. Hey could anybody find out if they are going to offer a power tailgate like on the Venza? That's just one of those things you end up finding wicked useful once you have it. Or if they'll have privacy glass in the back? Also take a tape measure with you. I'd like to know just how wide and high that rear opening really is.

This is great, could we perhaps use this as the official Prius v tour schedule thread? Keep us updated, Paradox.
Could someone measure the opening in the back Would like to fit a cart inside uprite and the cart is 3ft high
Airbalancer, you didn't post until just before the car got here, so I didn't measure. I think it would be very tight with the floor in, but with the floor removed it might well fit. Photos are posted at my flickr site for anyone interested: [ame="http://www.flickr.com/photos/efusco/sets/72157626516835239/"]Prius v - a set on Flickr[/ame] All in all it's a nice car and I think it will appeal nicely to the target market. I just don't think that target market is likely to include a large number of current Prius owners. The sliding rear seat and the all around fold flat seats really make the vehicle versatile. I like the hatch design. This car will definately accomodate a dog gate and make it possible to load a lot of stuff in the capacious back area.
^^ Thanks! At the showing in my area, they didn't want us mucking w/the rear cargo tray area so we couldn't see the spare tire area or NiMH battery, let alone the service plug. If Toyota would only bring the 7-seater Prius+ to the US...
