Following the creation of the 1000+miles/tank club by cproaudio, I decided to squeeze the lemon a bit more and reach that significant target myself. Previous fill up on March 20th @ 5372,4 km (3338.3 miles) ODO at Petro-Canada and stopped on first click at pump #7. Low fuel blinking at 6850 km (4256.4miles) on April 20th 134km (83.3 miles) driven after blinking low fuel My calculations indicated that I could have waited another 150 km (93 miles) but was happy to reach the 1000miles mark so I decided to fill up today. April 24th - filled up at Petro-Canada again, same pump. 6984km (4340 miles) ODO - at the time of fill up 1611.6km (1001miles) total driven since last fill up 38.01 liters (10.04 gal) total pumped (first click) $1.344/liters ($5.33 US/gal) $51.09 ($53.53 US) fuel cost 4kWh Enginer kit worked flawlessly troughout the whole tank, was constantly able to fill 4.3 - 4.7 kWh when depleted. MFD showed 2.13L/100km (110.4mpg) calculated 2.36l/100km (99.7mpg) New DTE shows 1224km (760 miles) From now on, I will start to fill my tank only to about 50% to save a bit on the dead weight (about 44lbs)
You got better mileage than I did so I'm sure you can hit 1,200 miles. I drove almost 300 miles on the freeway with the Enginer kit off so there's no way I can hit 1,000 miles this tank. So far I'm at 500 miles and 4 pips. How are getting 4+KW into the pack? do you have the BMS16D or MiniBMS?
I'm trying for a 1,000 miler. MFD is stuck on 99.9 and i'm about 575 miles into the tank, just dropped to 4 pips of fuel. I will have to carry a spare can of petrol, since without a scangauge and the imperial gallons meter topping out at 100 (should be more like 120 to match up with 100 US gallons) and the MFD being ~5% optimistic, i could end up only getting 950 miles. Ideally i'd like to get 108MPG, since that would be triple the economy of my last car (36mpg in a 2.2 vectra - like a chevy malibu).
