Same place as my FJ, inside the fuel tank as part of the fuel pump assembly It is obviously not a normally serviceable item
It is also not really a "filter" in the normally accepted sense of the word. It's a "stainer". A metal mesh cover over the intake to the fuel pump. So try not to get fine grit in the fuel tank!
I know our fuel reservoir is a 'bladder' type. But for the fuel filter, I am a little surprised. Thank you for the information. I guess I don't have to worry about replacing mine in the near future @ 41K miles.
