    Acton Toyota of Littleton | New Toyota dealership in Littleton, MA 01460

    Info summary:

    Hypermiling event with Wayne Gerdes in Westford, MA (got it wrong in title, whoops)
    Sunday, May 15, 2011
    Hypermiling rally at 9am
    Seminar at 11am

    Is anyone planning on going? I reeeally want to, but we'll see if I can get the morning off, it might be impossible. Would be very cool to meet some PriusChatters!

    Hi Mike,

    My wife and I will be there. Thanks for posting
    the event. How about a show of "hands," even
    the maybes? The only other time I went to Littleton
    (other than to purchase the 2010 Prius) was to get
    a sneak preview of the PHEV.

    I told the husband about this event and he wasn't overly interested.. then I mentioned it was at Kimball Farms & he said sign me up! Kimball's has the best ice cream and it's worth the trip just for that. We make a early in the season & end of season pilgrimage there - YUM!

    I'm going! Just got the course details:
    MPG rally 2011
    I took a test run this afternoon and got 71mpg.
    OAT ~60 degrees, no grill blocking, car fully warmed up (don't have a Scan Guage, so don't know which Stage), roads wet, no/very little standing water over course.
    The hairpin turn at Island Pond Rd at 10.2 miles is a doozie.:eek:

    I'm definitely going to the event. I'll be doing a test run this Saturday to get familiar with the course. I guess I'll see some of you there!

    Too bad this isn't happening in the Midwest. I'd really LOVE to learn how to hypermile... I'm only getting 42-45MPG's average. Last pip starts flashing at 380 miles. Booo--hiss... haha

    ya, a victim of the Big 3. you live in their neighborhood.

    what i failed to mention is this is 11th or 12th year of Fair and 5th running of MPG challenge (or maybe 4th?) so we be EVing for a while now.

    do i have to go all the way to acton to find a toyota dealer who cares and is knowledgeable about the prius and other hybrids?

    Apparently so I live in Florida and never see any info on anything hypermiling. I also wish they would do something down here.
