Need quick help, can i change the speedo from mph to km

    long story short, my inlaws just moved overseas, they saw how my gen 2 can switch to km without any issues. Is there somethign they can do to switch to km cause having to drive overthere with there prius is becoming a bit hard. Thank you

    haha so sorry, it's a 2010 prius, not sure what package, but it only has the aux input, no leather, no navi. They just moved from DC to europe

    Does the US version of the Prius have the little button that switches mph to km/h? I know my UK model does but it's a legal requirement over here. Might not apply in the USA.

    Yes, behind the steering wheel on the dash to the right is a button to switch km/h to mph. It is labeled very clearly for this purpose.

    The fuel consumption display is hard wired though, I think: no matter what speedo units you choose it stays in mpg or liter/100km.

    I have a 2012 Prius C, by holding down the trip button on the steering wheel you can change the speedometer between km/hr and mi/hr.
