Hello everyone, My name is Waylon. I have owned my Prius since 2002, I bought it in San Jose, California with only 1 mile on it. Now it is 2011 and my car has over 300,000 miles on it. I love my Prius it has been a dream come true. I have recently moved to Asheville, NC and I must say it is a great feeling when you drive around and at any given moment you will see at least 6 - 11 Prii driving around next to you or parked in a parking lot. This being said. I am starting a Prius Car Club. It will be based in Asheville, NC but anyone around the world is welcome to join and I would like to branch the car club to everywhere. It is free to join and I will have merchandise for the car clubs naturally if people want it, but what I am working on is a way for people like me who love these cars to be able to get discounts from Toyota and the local Toyota dealerships. Also once the members hits a certain number I am going to start having an annual PRIUS FESTIVAL here in Asheville, NC. If anyone else is interested in joining this car club let me know. The site will be launching very soon. Waylon
Thanks. I plan on going much much farther. Look forward to chatting and building friendships.
Thanks MacMaster05! Send me a message as soon as I get all the stuff in order, I will send you information on everything.
Welcome Waylon! I like your enthusiasm, and wish you fun and success. You were not really starved for fellow Prius drivers in San Jose, were you ?
When I lived there yes. They still had that long waiting list. I was one of the lucky people who got mine before the word got out about the carpool lane use in California. LOL... But I live in Asheville, NC now and man it is great to see so many on the road.
Nothing major yet. Only thing was I needed to have my AC fixed but it was something minor they didn't even charge me. I know I am going to need a new catalytic converter soon. Mine is currently running only at 75%. Also I will have to get a battery soon as I am still on the original battery. I have found a place in Arkansas that sells them direct for $750 plus shipping which is about $900 so not to bad, but the original battery is still going strong right now.
Yes I am working on some cool stuff. I am talking with Toyota officials to get everyone who is a member special deals and discounts for their Prii. Also I am working on the same deal with some tire companies also. Plus once it hits a good membership number I plan on putting on a Prius Festival which will be held Annually, and all members get in free.
