New Prius fanatic :)

    I have decided to buy a Prius. I will have it next week.
    I used to drive an automatic car which is rare here in France and I enjoy it.
    I've tested a Prius and have been fascinated by this car. Ride by wire, smoothness of transmission etc... Everything looks perfect.
    I also enjoy reading Priuschat that is always interesting.

    Welecome. I have had mine for almost 3 weeks. The weather turned warmer yesterday and my MPG went up to 63.5 on my 75 mile ride home. I hope it keeps up.

    Je suis entièrement d'adorer mon Prius 2011 5 (noir), avec le paquet de navigation. Moins 1.500 miles, il n'a pas de hochets. Il est très agréable à conduire et une merveille d'ingénierie. J'apprécie chaque fois que je regarde même pas elle. J'espère que vous avez une expérience merveilleuse avec le vôtre!

    I finally have got my Prius. It was on the 12th of April. Two funny moments happened on that occasion.

    First, after the seller told us the "how to" of the Prius I asked him how to close and lock the car. He, then, shows us the tip for closing but... I asked:"It's closed now?" He says "Yes". I took the handle and was surprised to see the door opening and the seller was surprised too. We tried twice, three times the tip. No, the car seemed opened. The seller said then there was something wrong with the car :(. We made some steps to the shop and suddenly the seller told us: "Oh ok I've understood, you can open the car cause I've the keys near you".:D

    So, now we leave the shop in our Prius. I stop not far and want to shut off engine and close the car. Okay, so we come in now, I push the "Power button", brrrr, messages and beeep saying P was not depressed. Ahem... I tried twice, three times, same, car won't go :( I took the simplified manual and applied the brake and Power came :)

    No apology necessary. You are doing pretty good for driving it the first time. It would be a very good idea to sit down, have a cup of coffee and read some of the basic information about the car. I'm so curious when I buy a new car I have to read the manual. Happy driving! :)
