the center caps just snap in with a ring spring. you can push them off from the inside or use a screw driver to pry them off from the outside. unless you are mounting new shoes, no reason to take them off. local dealer ordered them for me-my son is a Toyota mechanic so he got them for me.
As the owner of a new Blizzard Pearl, my first choice was silver. I love that color but couldn't get one with the package I wanted. I'm still mourning it a bit...
I've, uh, got a silver Prius, but I think the Blizzard white looks better. Those guys in the Blizzard Brigade seem pretty awesome too. :ninja:
Welcome aboard, hadone! As much as I like the Blizzard paint job on the Prius, I just have never been a fan of white on any car...
My new 2011 Prius is Classic Silver which reflects heat well here in sunny Atlanta... but it really looks it's best after getting a top-notch tint job on the windows.
Good thing you laid off frequent washings. I didn't. Evidently, if you wash a silver Prius too often, the paint washes off and it's Barcelona Red underneath. It's a shocking surprise
Blizzards, attaaack! Silver car owners tend to be cautious, however, silver is the same color as the street at dusk. White is the least likely color car to be struck by another vehicle (800% according to BMW), followed by yellow, and then orange. Fortunately it doesn't snow too much around here, blizzard that is. Blliiizzzzzzzzzzzzz *running away with cape made of old bath towel over shoulders...*

Mine is Silver too. I asked the salesman for a light color. Had he brought out a pearl Prius, I'd have probably taken it. But he brought out the silver. Looked GOOD. I signed. The silver is elegant looking. Kinda high-tech too. I'm
That's how I feel about my silver Prius: Hight Tech looking. It looks more like a luxury car in Silver, expecially with my tinted windows and rims. Welcome aboard, y'all.
I like the classic silver because the headlights and tail lights blend in nicely. You can see the true shape of the car. Love the spaceship look inside and out. :alien:
On my way to work I saw the following Prii: Barcelona Red (x1) Black (x1), who cut me off and made me slam on the brakes Sandy Beach (x1), who sped pass me on the left Winter Gray Metallic (x2) Classic Silver (x4), one with ugly advertising & decals So many new Prii w/o plates yet. No Blue or Pearls this time.
I notice that people in Prii tend to speed past me and cut me off the most. It's nice that they are having "fun", but what about saving some gas? What's the point of owning a great hybrid if you're going to drive it like a GM?
A few weeks ago I was on road stuck at a red light. To my right was a Gen II, to my left a Gen I. We're starting at the bottom of a steep hill going up and it's the Gen I, driven by an old lady, zipping up the road even faster than SUVs and regular cars. It was a good experience because it showed me that a Gen I has quite enough power. I was into the power band but she was lead footed. The Gen II was ahead of me too.
The only time now that I use my "lead foot" is if I have somebody behind me without a way around me for them. I just don't need to be wasting fuel anymore... I don't see too many Gen III's driving fast. It's usually the Gen II's.
The new Silver Prius I saw today must have had an extra coat of wax because it looked good. It's so sunny here this morning so it was popping. It's gonna get hot today...
