I bought, a 2011 Prius Four and it does NOT have navi, and i've been told by the dealer that the bluetooth will stream music as well, but i'm not so sure. I could not figure it out and neither could the "trainee" the salesman had to show us the features, he claims he could get it done when we go back thursday to get the paint protection film installed. is it just not actually an option, or are we missing something? Also, who has the 3M film? Just for the record, our prius is Blizzard Pearl, 477 Miles when we picked it up. we LOVE it. Also just any general advice, how about fuel octane?
Welcome aboard! Great color choice... No film here though I kind of wish I had. Lots of road rash on the front. Regular 87 gas all the way!
:welcome: I see you have the Prius 4, according to toyota.com I see the bluetooth music streaming comes with Navi, but I don't see it listed without navi. Have you looked at the manual? I've been streaming music from my Motorola Droid and it's awesome! And yes regarding gas, all you need is Regular!
- BT streaming with nav - Regular (87) - Just drive it! Worry about the graphics later when you're more familiar with the car.
killburn, get the film on ASAP. I put VentureShield film on my 2006 & the 2010's 1st trip was to the installer. Get the cups on the doors & the door sills done as well as the top of the rear bumper, the entire hood, the entire front bumper & the mirror backs. The Prius is a scratch magnet & I had more white hairline scratches than I could count on my Magnetic Gray.
Killburn, congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. I don't know about the BT; I listen to music on my iphone through the USB port, which works very well.
There is bluetooth music streaming with the Blulogic kit that the dealer installs. All you have to do is pair your phone with the car, and hit play. The system is a little hokey, but it does work.
We got our Prius III a couple of months ago. Look online or in the yellow pages to find window tinting in your area. I recomend the 3M product. It comes with a warranty that actually means something and can be repalced by any authorized installer. I don't have navigation either but my wife was able to use her Bluetooth without any problems. Haven't tried streaming music though... Enjoy the new car!!!:welcome:
I've been looking for this mysterious USB port, but I can't find it. What I've been told is that it's next to the Aux jack in the console. All I find is the Aux jack and a 12V accessory jack. Is it hiding somehow?
As I've mentioned in the other thread, it only comes with the navigation system. You'll have to get it dealer-installed if you have the standard radio unit.
Not to steal the thread, but about gas... There is a mention in the manual that although not recommended by Toyota, Prius will take E90, up to 10% ethanol. Anyone tried it?
If you mean E10 (10% ethanol) then yes, the Prius has no trouble with it. That's all we have in Oregon.
