There is 0% APR deal going on for 2010 Prius....I am interested in purchasing Prius III with solar moonroof and navigation package...dealer is asking same sticker price as of 2011....which is 28540$ which includes destination charges of 760$...I need help of experts in making this decision.

** is it wise decision to get 2010 model..
** is there a room for negotiation on 28540$ keeping in mind they are offering 0% apr for 60 months...

** is there any other charges taken by dealer other than car price + destination charges which makes 28540

I would not pay 2011 price for a 2010, period. The car has already depreciated a year in value.

As for getting a 2010, sure it's wise if the price is right. There is always room for negotiation on a new car IMO.

Also, you are posting in the Prius v main forum which is for the forthcoming Prius 'wagon'. Your post will be moved to the dealers and pricing forum.

You may want to check when the 2010 was built. Find sticker inside front door sticker where tire pressure specs are. Some 2010's were actually built in 2009 which would significantly influence my purchase decision.

We went with the late model 2010 because of the $1000 rebate, and the 2011's are same build and quality as 2010. We intend to keep this car until it dies. GL.

I feel there is always room for negotiation, again, especially when you're talking a 2010 and the 2011's are now out.

    We went for the 60 month 0 % on a 2010.
There is no incentive on the 2011 at this time in the NY area

Based on what Edmunds is showing as dealer invoice on the 2010 Prius V, I paid ~ $2000 under invoice with 0% financing. My numbers might be slightly off, but do not pay sticker on a 2010. They can negotiate.

Go in with cash and you'll get an even better price.

Google results say otherwise. Apparently, the dealer can mark up the interest rate on a loan, which means they would prefer you to finance it through them.

Before destination, tax, tags, my 2010 Prius V with ATP was $30,505, so around your $ 31,200 price if you include the destination charge.

The AAA price for a 2011 is invoice. The 2010 is a bit below. Right now in NJ there is no way I'd pay close to MSRP for either Prius.

Do you think it would be possible to purchase a 2011 Toyota Prius II at $500 above invoice +TTL out here in CA? I would like the absolute base model.
