OK, not really a newbie but been a long time since I was here. So now we are at 186,000 miles... Here is where we are at: Brakes still original (checked monthly when I change the oil at 6K) Seven headlights (until the last guy figured out dealers changed the type) Replaced trans oil at 125,000 miles Failing 12VDC battery which reset the car, I was getting 42MPG then when it reset... I am back now to 51MPG! Dealer checked the main battery, we are at 210VDC, so he says keep driving it. Have these failure codes P0420 and C2303, should I worry or just keep driving it? Yes, I will be buying another one when this finally shows some sign of wear.
P0420 Error Code: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) Sounds like a new catalytic converter may be needed. (That is a generic site, the Prius code may be slightly different)
Yeah, I read that as well but... there were references to Oxygen sensors as well. Just thinking... what if I replace the Oxygen sensor. Seems much easier then getting on the ground?
