Just bought new 2011 Toyota Prius II in dark gray from dealer in Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This is my third Prius, previously having owned a 2005 and 2008 model years. Purchasing process was smooth and flawless and on the return trip home averaged 50 mpg despite hilly terrain and temperature in the low 20's. Pretty good mileage especially considering windy driving conditions and varying speed to properly break-in engine. Compared to previous Prius owned, this one is noticeably much more comfortable in terms of seating, "cabin" feel, muted engine and exterior sounds, and appearance of trim. For some reason, the shape of the rear window or spoiler deflects road grime and condensation from hindering the view, despite the wet and salty road surface. Just pleasantly surprised about great improvement in comfort of front seats and the extra power the engine seems to display. "Toyota....Oh what a feeling!"
Wow seeing a lot of people buying 2011s the 2010s must be just about gone!Did your dealer have any 2010s?? The GEN III is better car all around than the GEN II, only had mine a year! Wanted a GEN III and traded and took my lumps! Glad I did Enjoy the ride!
Awesome that's so cool you are on number three I hope that is me in the future. Can't wait for five or so years when I may be ready to get a new one and see what they have then.
Little Prius, Glad you have decided to stay with the Prius! I hope you enjoy many trouble free miles!!
talk to me about LKA. I couldn't stomach the 5K hit to move up to V with tech pack but now wish that I had. A little over one year on 2010 and 65K miles and I think that I could have used both radar distance controling and lane keeping assistance.
Just bought our first Prius it was a 2011 III w/solar package!!!! Traded in a gas guzzeling Lincoln MKX and we are so glad we did. So far averaging 51.5 mpg and loving it. Lots of new tech and buttons and we are still trying to figure everything out.
