I am a salesperson at Big Two Toyota Scion in Gilbert, Arizona. I have been working with Toyota's for about 1 1/2 years now. By far they are my favorite vehicle to sell, I believe the best product to sell is one you can believe in! Coming into Toyota I was highly skeptical of the Prius. I am a former Energy Star home inspector so I naturally look into the details. I am sold on it's ability to get awesome gas mileage as well as providing a great ride... not to mention a ton of space for a compact car!
Welcome to PriusChat. The reason there is so much room in what you think of as a "compact" car is because it is actually a midsized car as per the EPA. It just looks small when sitting among the SUVs.
Welcome to PriusChat. We have other Toyota salespersons on the forum. Be prepared to take a lot of dealer bashing, though I'm not sure it's deserved except maybe in the service department. For the benefit of PC's in your area, what is your dealers Prius sales strategy regarding pricing?
Thanks! I am located in Chandler, AZ... on the border of Gilbert in the Phoenix metro. I hope to be able to be of help to anyone that has questions regarding Prius, although I learn alot by reading the posts on here (I have received tweets from Priuschat for the past 6 months or so). I love reading the stories good and bad. I am not here (on Priuschat) to sell cars as much as I would like to learn more. As for our sales strategy with the Prius... last year we were #4 for Scion. We would hope to be the same with the Prii line!
Welcome from Surprise! Is your dealership is the one that has the cafe, barber, nail salon, massage, etc. I have heard this place is huge and nice, but never been over there.
Whats the market out there? I have been seeing a lot of new ones on the road with Dealer tags!! Are you really dealing on the leftover 2010s
Thanks! Yes, we are the dealer with the barber shop, massage therapist, shoe shine, and nail salon. We don't have but a couple 2010 Prius 4's and 5's left, we will certainly work out a great deal on them but they are far from being distressed merchandise! As a Prius owner, you don't want them to be discounted cause that hurts the value of the one you own. The market has certainly picked back up... and should even more with the gas prices going up the way they are. It's a good time to be a Prius owner!
