I can't figure it out. I drive like I have no brakes, pulse and glide when possible, am getting better with warp stealth and super highway mode, but I still keep getting higher and higher with time. Suggestions?? Seriously, I have to echo Tekdeus' post of thanks. I certainly could never have imagined anything like this. We had 48°F weather today, the warmest since I've owned the car! I learned everything right here (ok, and Wayne Gerdes' super helpful post at Pulse and Glide plus Warp Stealth in the Prius II for maximum FE … - CleanMPG Forums). This ride today was incredible, and you can see from the second half of the ride shown in the bar chart, it was even with some complete stops at traffic lights. I have two bridges to climb, one of which requires a long rise at pedal to the metal 20-25 mpg once moving (have to attack it uphill from dead start, thanks tollbooth), but the other, smaller one I've gotten much better approaching with warp stealth and SHM to lessen the impact of the climb, two methods which contributed greatly to the fuel efficiency of the first half of the drive, not seen in the pic. Excited for the summer and more temps where the ICE will shutdown whenever I want
Clearly you are doing this all wrong. You need to accelerate like a bat out of hell, slam the brakes on when coming to a stop at the last second, and drive 90+ MPH. This will solve this high mileage problem you are experiencing. It may even help you with the elusive high blood pressure reading, rapid heart beat, and added stress.
I need me some of that consumation stuff! What Sagebrush said... what language/country? Oh, and good work!
SageBrush: It's French. I'm in the US, am American, but I work at a French immersion in the summer so try to keep everything (computer, car, etc.) in French as much as possible, watch French news, etc.
I'll have you know that British people are also fans of fucked-up units of measure. I find it comforting to know that I can also write my mileage in fpp.
Yeah it was a bit of a joke by the OP. We've had quite a few "I'm getting abnormally low MPG" type treads here lately. It happens every winter. So this thread is just bit of a parody of that.
